Australian born Gregory Norman, is nicknamed The Great White Shark or sometimes simply The Shark – a reference to his blond hair, size, aggressive golf style and his native Australia where sharks are masses of Sharks roam the waters.
Norman spent 331 weeks as the world's Number 1 ranked golfer in the 1980s and 1990s. He has won over 85 international tournaments in his career, including two majors: The Open Championship in 1986 and 1993. He was inducted into the world golf hall of fame in 2001.
1987 Norman established Greg Norman Golf Course Design. Today he has designed 76 courses worldwide with another 37 at various stages of development.
